IELTS, TOEFL, and SAT are a few of the examinations that universities and companies require their students and applicants respectively. 

 

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) measures a student or an applicant’s listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in preparation for actual study or life in a British English-speaking country (UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada).

 

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is intended for students who want to enter universities in the US. The skills tested are reading, listening, speaking, and writing.

 

SAT (Scholastic Assessment or Aptitude Test) is also taken by students after high school so they can enter a university. Apart from English, a student’s mathematics skills are also assessed.
